Banned Serbian tennis player Viktor Troicki was "innocent" doping violations and the country's Davis Cup team supported him, world number one Novak Djokovic said on Tuesday.
27-year-old Troicki was suspended for 18 months, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in July for not giving blood at the Monte Carlo Masters in April.
The ban, which runs until January 24, 2015 years, means he will miss Serbia in the Davis Cup semifinals against Canada in Belgrade next month and the possibility of a second Davis Cup title.

Troicki defining career moment came when it defeated Serbia in the first Davis Cup in an emotional fifth rubber in the 2010 final against France in Belgrade, after which he and Djokovic were praised in the Balkan States.
"We are not sure what will happen with Victor," Djokovic said after his opening victory at the Rogers Cup in Montreal before adding he doubted Troicki will qualify for the Davis Cup tie.
"We all support him because he is definitely innocent. I hope he will be able to be in court very soon. "
Troicki has denied any wrongdoing and said, because he didn't feel well doping officer told him he might miss a blood test. Troicki had already given a urine sample.
The ITF rejected his reasons for refusing to provide a sample as "not convincing" and he said he would appeal to the Court of arbitration for sport (CAS).
